Kayla Oehlberg, DPT is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy at Fitness Quest Physical Therapy in Venice, Florida. Kayla was born and raised in DeKalb, IL, but traded freezing winters for humid summers 6 years ago when she moved to Sarasota. Kayla obtained her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences in 2019 at Northern Illinois University, where she was also a member of the dance team, The Silverettes.
She earned her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2023 at Gannon University in Ruskin, FL. Kayla specializes in patient-centered care in orthopedics, sport injuries, balance, functional strength, and pediatric rehabilitation. She utilizes evidence-based practice to help patients of all ages improve their function and prevent future injuries, all while making therapy fun!
In her free time, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, watching sports, and playing with her two dogs

Mike earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Georgia State University. His clinical training includes outpatient orthopedics, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation. He enjoys helping patients with back and neck pain, joint replacements, and recovery after surgery.
Mike’s own experience recovering from injuries during his three years of Army service inspired him to become a physical therapist. He takes time to understand what each patient hopes to return to, then helps them build strength and confidence in movement.
Outside the clinic, Mike enjoys time with his wife and two children, strength training, running, and golf.

Julian Rosado Rodriguez, PTA, is a Physical Therapist Assistant at Fitness Quest Physical Therapy’s Venice clinic. Originally from Naranjito, Puerto Rico, he earned his associate’s degree from the State College of Florida in 2026. Fluent in English and Spanish, Julian helps patients feel understood and supported throughout their rehabilitation. His clinical experience includes outpatient rehabilitation, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing settings. He has also completed continuing education focused on the cervical and thoracic spine and maintains CPR certification.
Julian’s love of sports sparked his interest in physical therapy, and helping patients regain strength, function, and confidence deepened his passion for the profession. He focuses on building trust and creating a positive environment where patients can make meaningful progress toward their individual goals. He enjoys celebrating their recovery milestones and helping them return to the activities that matter most.
Outside the clinic, Julian enjoys spending time with his family, caring for his fish tanks, and hiking.

Fitness Quest Physical Therapy has proudly served Venice and the surrounding communities since opening its doors in February 2005. Our clinic is conveniently located on Venice Island in the 400 Professional Building, directly across from Venice High School.
Our experienced therapists and friendly office staff are committed to providing personalized care and a positive therapy experience. We offer a wide range of rehabilitation services designed to help patients reduce pain, restore mobility, improve strength and balance, and return to the activities they enjoy.
