Clinic DirectorBrian Schmit, PT, DPT is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy at Fitness Quest Physical Therapy in Nokomis, Florida. Brian was born and raised outside of Chicago and attended Western Illinois University where he played basketball and met his wife, Bekah. He then went on to Midwestern University where he earned his Doctoral degree for Physical Therapy in 2009. Brian has worked in outpatient orthopedic settings since graduating. He specializes in orthopedic injuries with a specialization in post op shoulder, knee, and hip along with sports related injuries. Brian has 3 beautiful kids and along with his wife they all enjoy attending church, attending kids sports, and spending time together.

Physical TherapistVeronica Dono, PT is a licensed Physical Therapist at Fitness Quest Physical Therapy in Venice, Florida; holding a P.T. license in GA also. While born in Mexico she studied Pharmacology and later on she moved to U.S and got her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy at FIU. She specializes in geriatric, orthopedic, and vestibular rehabilitation. Her treatments utilize evidence-based practices aimed at achieving optimal functional outcomes to help patients get back to doing what they love. In her free time, she enjoys dancing salsa, flamenco and Lebanese dances.

Tayler Madison, PT, is a licensed physical therapist at Fitness Quest Physical Therapy in Nokomis, Florida. She graduated from the University of North Florida in 1996 and has proudly served residents of the Venice area for 30 years. With 28 years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation, Tayler has treated patients with a wide variety of conditions, including low back pain, osteoporosis, and oncology-related needs. She is especially passionate about working with geriatric, orthopedic, and balance patients. Tayler strives to provide individualized care that helps each patient achieve the best possible functional outcome and maintain an active, independent lifestyle.
Outside of work, Tayler enjoys taking long walks with her partner, Wayne, spending time and working with her rescue dog, Evie, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.

Fitness Quest Physical Therapy has proudly served Nokomis and the surrounding communities since 2019. In 2024, the clinic relocated to its current location to better accommodate the growing needs of the community.
Conveniently located just east of Interstate 75 at Laurel Road, directly across from Sarasota Memorial Hospital Venice Campus, our clinic provides easy access for residents of Nokomis and the rapidly expanding neighboring areas.
Our experienced therapists and welcoming office staff are committed to providing personalized care in a positive, supportive environment. We work closely with each patient to reduce pain, restore mobility, improve function, and build confidence throughout their recovery.
